Felixstowe Sewage Treatment
Getting a septic tank used to be the ideal means of dealing with being a little too far from the mains to be connected. But the new EPP2 legislation means that you have to get a stand-alone sewage treatment system to deal with waste water or you will end up with a lot of problems.
When you come to us for a septic tank or isolated sewage treatment system, we will advise you of the requirements of the law. We at MJ Services have plenty of experience of dealing with sewage sytems, across Felixstowe, Stowmarket, Woodbridge and the whole of Suffolk. There are places where the land is suited to a traditional septic system, but these are few and far between. Elsewhere you will need to use something that has been certified to EN12566.
What makes this new European Standard so important is the fact that it is now a requirement under the new Environment Permitting Programme Second Phase (EPP2) legislation. This states that all sewage treatment plants (including septic tanks) that are designed to serve a maximum of fifty people, will now have to pass EN-12566 certification or you will need to apply for a 'permit to discharge' to install it.
MJ Services of Suffolk are sewage treatment specialists and offer a range of products that are certified and exempt from needing a 'permit to discharge'. Essentially meaning that they can be installed anywhere not served by mains sewerage.
